We had a terrific event thanks to Wild Tastes catering! The menu that chef Cecelia proposed was great, the servers were attentive, and every guest had a wonderful time. The food was high quality and well presented. I received many compliments on the event.

If you're looking for a catering company that will guide you through the wedding catering process I recommend you look elsewhere. I don't have experience with hiring catering services...let alone catering services for a wedding. I was really hoping that Cecilia would be helpful in talking me through what her company offers and what it would look like on the day of my wedding. Cecilia claimed that she and her workers are extreamly professional but when I tried to get an investment quote she was extremely rude. She told me "are you on a budget or something, is there a reason why you don't want to feed your guests?". Other more professional companies I have contacted have phrased this as "what's your budget so I can ensure we can get you what you need while meeting your budget." In other words, I would not recommend this place if you dont want to pay $140 per person which is what Cecilia told me was her rate. There's plenty of other catering services who will be respectful, cheaper, and will provide you with support throughout the process.

Wild Taste catered our wedding at the Nestldown a few weeks ago. Overall it was a challenging experience working with them and we had the following concerns:
1. Lack of communication: Chef Cecilia was incredibly hard to get a hold of and would send borderline rude emails. She didn't take the time to take detailed notes or follow up with us which led to multiple issues like us finding out after invitations were mailed that we needed to collect meal selections (perhaps I'm a newbie at wedding planning but I have been to weddings where orders are taken table side and assumed this was the case since nothing different had been communicated to me by the chef), the charger plates we had rented not being put out (apparently she didn't know we wanted these? Then why would we rent them?), several decor items not being put out (bride and groom signs, Mr & Mrs table signs etc) and the table names on the head table being placed completely out of order which led to me not sitting next to my parents at dinner in the midst of the confusion
2. Food quality and quantity did not match the tasting: at the tasting the size of the portions and quality of food were both significantly better than what was served at our wedding. At the wedding the portions were small, and the quality of produce nowhere near what we sampled. I worry some of our guests went home hungry
3. Inflexibility: when we tasted the food, cecilia was unable to give us 3 of the appetizers as her catering partner was unavailable. When we asked to taste these she informed us it would be another $200 fee as it counted as an additional tasting. This made no sense given it was not our fault the items were not included in the initial tasting that we had already paid for - we made this clear to her but it did not make a difference
Overall, we used wild taste because they were on the list of vendors our venue required and were the only one that could do Indian food. I wish we had done more tastings and recognized the red flags along the way and gone in a different direction.
I appreciate they are a small, female run business and so I want to give them the benefit of the doubt given how much COVID has impacted this industry. The food at the tasting was excellent and I am sure under different circumstances, if they could improve their communication and attention to detail they could do a good job. That just wasn't the case for us.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brandilyn T.Los Angeles, United States03214 Sept 2022
Do NOT book with her. This vendor was on the required vendor list for our wedding venue, Nestldown, and she was only one of two who could do a vegan menu. We called her and were impressed with the menu she said she could create for our wedding. We had a two hour long conversation with her on the phone, detailing every menu item we would like for our wedding. We had a follow up appointment with her the following week, but never showed up to the meeting. Then, when we talked to her next after we followed up repeatedly, she had completely lost the notes of our previous two hour meeting and didn't remember who we were. Luckily I had written down all the notes. We were nervous to proceed with her at that time but she was apologetic and we didn't have many other options for a vegan wedding caterer so we moved forward. We flew my whole family from Colorado to California to do a tasting with Cecilia, which cost us quite a bit. We tasted her food, which was amazing and she pressured us into paying the $3,500 deposit right then (the "another couple is competing for your date," tactic, which is unlikely because it was more than a year and a half away from our wedding and our date is a Sunday). After we paid this deposit, we asked for her to email us a contract, which she never did even after being asked multiple times. She began completely ghosting us for no reason at all. Neither we, nor our special events manager at our venue nor our wedding planner could get a response from her on very time sensitive matters that she was supposed to be handling. This cost us a lot of money because our wedding planner charges by the hour. She didn't respond to us for months. When we finally had to book with another caterer because she still hadn't responded to us, we emailed her and nicely asked for our deposit back. She said no because of "covid," even though covid had absolutely nothing to do with the matter. She caused an immense amount of stress for us and stole $3,500 from us. Do not work with her.

This catering business may be closed as I never received a reply after repeated emails via their web site, through usual email provider, and finally a phone call leaving a message.
1. no reply, no business
2. don't publicize a "contact" page on the web site if you're not even monitoring it or ensure that your web hosting provider has everything in order by testing you actually are receiving e-communications
3. if you can't handle the request, have the courtesy to at least respond and mention your schedule is too tight or whatever the problem is. Then the requestor can move on to the next query rather than wondering if they're about to miss out on a great service. Although at this point, I wouldn't even attempt to try again in the future since they can't even handle a reply.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Carol P.San Jose, United States403211628 Jan 2016
My company wanted to plan something small as a "Hello 2016 Happy Hour" and so I did some research on Yelp and stumbled upon Wild Tastes Catering. I had called a couple places before calling here and after talking to Cecilia about my plans and concerns, she sent me a quote within a day.
Cecilia was very understanding and knowledgable about everything I asked her. My company wanted to have a chocolate and cheese fondue for our Happy Hour but we had a strict budget... Cecilia was able to meet our budget and I am very appreciative of that!
Throughout our interactions and the duration of our event, Cecilia was always professional and a delight to be around!
And I have to say, the chocolate and cheese fondue was a hit! I will definitely use Wild Tastes Catering again in the future!
If you had any doubts choosing this Cater due to lack of reviews (like me), please take the leap of faith because you won't regret it! :)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Anthony D.San Francisco, United States0115 Mar 2020
I recently attended a corporate luncheon put on by Wild Tastes Catering and it was so good it prompted me to write a review. First the set up was clean and organized. I really liked how everything was labeled in chalkboard signs. They even labeled the halal wings! The food (mediteranean) was really attractive anf colorfull. There falafel was really tasty and authentic. The staff was very attentive and friendly. And they had this amazing shake bar that just took it over the top. The decor was totally out of the box everyone was taking photos and i cant wait to try them again soon. Thank you Wild Tastes you nailed it!

We wanted Punjabi food for our reception so we had Chef Devinder from Wildtastes cater it. He had a great selection during the food tasting, we had some more items we wanted to try and a few adjustments we wanted to make. He made these items so we could try his food again before the big day.
On the day of his food was still excellent, as the bride I actually got to eat and enjoy the food (craving it as I write this review right now). He did a good job with decor/set up of the food.
He was also excellent at communicating (email and text). He also came with me to my reception venue (which he had been to before) to give recommendations to where to set up the cocktail, dinner and dessert tables and to talk to the venue coordinator so everything runs smoothly on the day off.
We highly recommend him!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1
